The impulsive emotion that arises when confronted with the beautiful Miyako Island landscape and its natural richness, motivates people's desire to coexist and live in harmony with nature. The message of those artworks is about the beautiful cycle between nature and people and the hope it will continue.
White underwater treasures
The unique underwater topography and coral formations are universalized with a variety of materials and embroidery patterns.
The flowing graphic rhythm represents the eternal return of the topography.
海中の独特な地形と珊瑚の群生を、多様な素材と刺繍のモチーフで普遍化。
流れるようなグラフィックのリズムで地形が永劫回帰していく様を表す。

Immersion in island landscape with naupaka
The classic scene of a purple standing heron looking up at the moon is fused with a reinterpretation of the rich naupaka leaves and flowers in the embroidery. This is inspired by the richness of nature of Miyako Island and the desire to preserve it.
月を見上げるムラサキサギが佇む古典的な風景と、豊潤なナウパカの葉と花を再解釈した刺繍を融合。宮古島の豊かな自然が永続して欲しいというメッセージを込めた。

Immersion in an imaginary underwater world
Inspired by the experience of seeing a different world from the one on land with thousands of shimmering bands of light while swimming, this painting abstracts the underwater landscape with its vivid ecology and combines it with embroidery in a unique way.
遊泳中にみた幾千の光の帯が揺らめく、陸とは異なる別世界を見た体験からインスピレーションを得た。鮮やかな生態が在る海中風景を、抽象化し刺繍と組み合わせた独自の手法で表現した。
